Kraft dans sa version originelle ou transparent dans sa version éditée par Roberto Baciocchi, les assemblages de papiers bulle en multicouche et découpe radicale forment des strates ficelées. Une structure vient rassembler le paquetage pour former une assise confortable. Mr. & Mr. imagine avec Mille-feuilles un processus archaïque évoquant tant la paillasse que le tatami dont l’usure par le temps est renouvelable à l’infini. Sur commande, Mille-feuilles se déploie sous forme de coussins ou de matelas.
An ultra-comfortable, multi-use mattress. Through its use of packaging materials for fragile objects, Mille-feuilles conjures the notion of mobility. Whether in its original kraft paper version or in its transparent edition produced by Roberto Baciocchi, this assembly of multi-layered bubble-wrap with a radical cut forms layers that are bound together. A structure holds the bundle tight, thereby creating a comfortable seat. Mr. & Mr. envisioned Mille-feuilles as an archaic process reminiscent of both straw mattresses and tatamis whose wear and tear is a constant cycle of continual renewal. According to the wishes of its user, Mille-feuilles can be arranged to form cushions or a mattress.
