Série de pochoirs pour un « do it yourself » sans contraintes ni frontières, Ground By vient, par le motif, redonner du neuf et une histoire à nos intérieurs, en intégrant nos gestes amateurs. 

Défier les lois de la déco à tout-va. Mr.&Mr. invite des artistes et des graphistes à créer des pochoirs pour nous permettre de repenser les espaces et leur inventer une mémoire neuve. Motif à géométrie variable, illustratifs ou abstraits, chaque carré découpé appose sur nos surfaces planes une étendue colorée aléatoire. GroundBy met en exergue l’art de l’usage et de l’usure. Architecturer nos espaces quotidiens par recouvrement, imposer la répétition du motif comme forme, détourner l’illusion des DIY industriels pour conserver nos identités, telles sont les fonctionnalités de ces pochoirs inédits. Fragments originaux dessinés, ces petites formes éventrées prêtes à peindre, sont imaginées pour défier toute logique mathématique. Du sol au plafond, d’un geste assuré ou hésitant, nous sommes tous des architectes-designers !

GroundBy is a series of stencils ideal for any do-it-yourself project. Free from constraints or barriers, GroundBy, with the help of its motifs, aims to give back a new appearance and history to our indoors by integrating our amateur gestures.With an all-out defiance of art deco laws, Mr&Mr invites artist and graphic designers to invent stencils that will allow us to rethink our spaces and to create a new memory. With varying illustrative or abstract motifs, each cut square imposes on our flat surfaces a random colourful space.GroundBy puts emphasis on the art of wear and tear. These totally-new stencils aim to carve out our everyday spaces through their expansive covering, establishing the repetition of the motif as a form, deviating from the illusion of the industrial DIY in order to preserve our identities. These small, ready-to-paint, originally drawn cut-out fragments are conceived to defy all mathematical logic. From floor to ceiling, with a steady or hesitant hand, we are architect-designers!
